1999 GMC Jimmy, i recently replaced my neutral safety switch and 7 wire connector because i broke them trying to diagnose another problem i was having. the trouble i'm having is my jimmy while in drive position starts out and stays in 3rd gear. i don't think the computer knows what gear it is in on it is going into defalt. i took back the neutral safety switch because i notice that as i shift from park to reverse or drive the switch isn't turning with the shifter bolt. the guy at autozone told me that the switch will remain stiff until the key is turned to the on position. after doing some tests with my new neutral safety switch i noticed that the part is remaining stiff. if any one has any ideas please help!!!!
