i was just wondering when i bought my blazer the dealer said that the engine was replaced . well i dont think it is but i could be wronge. so how to check the year of the engine or to see if it is the original 98 engine. what is the engine code and all that .

well they just said it was replaced...that doesn't neccessarily mean with a crate engine. They probably put another 98 engine in..maybe even a 97!

 

so how to know if it is new used anything like that. no magic code that says it is a specific year?
