its cool. ive never done it. but for what ive found there should be a cap on the driver side of the trans. remove it. put the gauge line there. Should be like 170-215 degrees.

I might be wrong. its just info ive found over the years.

naw. hardest part is finding where to run the line. Id say drill a hole with a uni-bit. and find a rubber bushing to fit it. imma do it on my new blazer some time or another. Il make a tutorial.

Behind the cruise control under the hood is hole that the hood latch cable goes through

ive used that hole for a oil temp gauge and it was almost impossible to get the end through it. Ended up cutting a new hole. Try it though. you will probably have more patience.

So the trans temp gauge is installed, Hole on side of trans is to small (pressure port) so I installed it on the oil to radiator line. While driving it hovers around 140. Stopped and let it idle for 5 minutes or so and it went up to 160. part of the temp line is about 2 inches from the exhaust and I think it picks up some heat from that when not moving

For a more accurate trans temp the temp sensor should be mounted in the output line heading to the rad. You will get your hottest readings there.
