Good afternoon folks. I have a 1997 blazer 4x4 with 120k. last summer I started having a problem with the transfer case. In 2 wheel drive it would all of a sudden start whining. If I pushed the 4 hi button it would stop (but I don't want to travel all the time in 4 hi). Then this winter the 4 wheel drive stopped all together and now is whining again (until I put it into 4 hi even though it is not actually in 4 hi cause it doesn't work). On top of all this drive train nonsense now I am having surging problems and terrible gas mileage. Please help as I am at the end of my rope.
