Default No Spark

i have a 1995 gmc jimmy 4.3 (w code). have darn near replaced everything on it but now i have a no start issue. engine cranks but does not turn over. here is what i replaced

spider injector and harness
tune up is recent but just replace cap, rotor, and coil

the truck has 59 psi for fuel
pump and everything on the fuel side works

i have spark coming out of the coil but when i checked at #1 plug i had nothing so i replaced the cap and rotor thinkin i bought cheap parts. did that and nothing, so i replaced the coil thinking there was weak spark coming from that and still nothing. the plugs and wires only have 25K on them so they should be fine. dunno what it can be and im about to pull my hair out. PLEASE HELP!!! any smart suggestions would be great.

have you checked the resistance of your coil wire? If it's excessive, that could be the reason why you have no spark going to your cap and rotor. Your crank sensor could also be bad. It won't deliver a spark if it doesn't detect a reading from the crank.

i have spark coming out of the coil just not from the distributor . the voltage drop in the coil wire (at the coil harness plug) went from 11.6 to 9.7 volts in the wire when i cranked it. also had spark out leading into the distributor. voltage was low due to battery not being charged from consistent cranking . im putting the tender on it overnight to juice it back up to 12.5+. anyway it should of started under the voltage circumstances cause the thing was crankin. battery was at 11.7 volts. would the coil still get spark if the crank sensor was shot?

Sounds like you have a problem with the distributor then... If you have spark from the primary wire where it then goes into the distributor, but then nothing out of the distributor, there is something amiss inside the distributor...

Have you determined if the distributor is properly timed to the engine? How about inspected the gear on the bottom of the distributor?

What did you do to it right before it stopped starting?? Or have you been replacing all of these components in efforts to get it running again..?

distributor is turning properly. the truck stopped running when i parked it in my driveway, the morning came when i needed to move it there was my no start problem. i never pulled the distributor out so it isnt a issue with is being out of time. the spider i replaced from a recent diagnosis and it finally took a crap so i changed that. after i put everything back together i found i now have the no spark issue. im thinkin it could be the ignition control module. any suggestions?

You can remove the ICM and have it tested at Advance Auto, Autozone, and a few other parts stores. That could be your problem or it could be something that you have already assumed is ok without actually verifying...

This thread might give you some ideas:
Engine Cranks But Does Not Run
It is specifically meant for the 96+, but if you have the later OBD2 PCM setup, a lot will be similar.
