Default No start won't even attempt to fire

My 2000 Chevy blazer won't start and don't attempt to even fire how do I check to see if timing belt is the issue or where should I even start?

No timing belt in your Blazer - it has a chain (that is very doubtful to be your problem).

Will the engine crank over normal speed with the starter? If so go borrow a fuel pressure gauge from the parts store and check your fuel pressure when you turn the ignition key from off (for more than 10 seconds) to the run position. You should see a 2-second pulse of fuel pressure to about 58 psi and then it should hold there for a while. There is a sticky at the top of the second gen forum where you can see how to hook up the fuel pressure gauge. At this point that is all the testing that you need to do.

If it won't crank over, or cranks over slow - then say so.

Report and we will go from there.

I have a fuel pump and vacuum Guage tester if that is good where should I go from there? I tried spraying starter fluid in the carburetor but it didn't fire. So I was thinking maybe bad coil pack?

Another question to answer is what does the security light do when you are cranking? Is it on / off / flashing? Your truck has the GM Passlock2 system, which when engaged will allow the truck to crank, but disables fuel so it won't fire.

Well I think I figured out the issue. I took off the distributor cap and it had a bit of moisture in it so I sprayed it with starter fluid and wiped it clean and dry replaced and it actually tried to fire but now my battery is dead so recharging it now and hopefully it will start when I try it again next time.

Doesnt seem that you read the fuel pump sticky note I referred to, or attempted to do any of the testing, or answer any of my questions. Sorry but youre all over the place. Good luck and best wishes. If it is moisture inside the cap, spray it down good with wd40 before wiping it out.

Wow you really gonna get butthurt because I didn't wait around for your all knowing God like answer? Fact is I did test fuel pressure which is why I also tested the fuel pump relay and found out it was bad. Sorry I didn't come kissing your feet before I tried everything I could think of. I know your the all powerful Oz I guess I should have waited on your blessing before moving on. 😆 🤣 😂 I appreciate your help but in no way would I talk to someone the way you did me and not expect an answer back like you just got. Have a great evening and thanks for the help you did lend to me.

I believe you meant god with a lower case g. We just fix stuff here, we don't create it.

So was it the fuel pump relay or was it moisture in the distributor or was it a bad timing belt or was it a bad coil pack - or does it still refuse to start? Not butthurt - but I don't have much time for those who ask for help, yet don't follow it when given. Simple as that.
