Default Noise when accelerating from a stop.

I bought a 99 Jimmy a couple of months ago abs I'm trying to work out the bugs. I have noticed a slightly annoying sound when I accelerate from a dead stop. It's like a brief groan, moan or growl. It last for maybe a second. It doesn't seem to have any effect on anything except it's annoying.

The sound is only there in first gear, and only briefly. It does seem to be worse when it's wet outside. Anyone else had this issue or can maybe point me in the right direction?

Oh yeah, the noise seems to be in the front area of the truck.

When it's cold, warmed, all the time? happen when accelerating hard while driving or only from a stop? Could it be the clutch fan?

I'm kinda leaning toward a motor mount. You have to get in it pretty good before you hear it and it won't do it in reverse. This truck was really neglected when I bought it but it is mechanically sound and it looks great. The fan clutch and fluid are ok. It's just a really strange sound. Anyone changed a motor mount on one?

well thats good on ur fluids, havent on a 2nd gen but have on a 1st gen and they are a pain. u have to jack the motor up to do it and u still dont have the room u want. good luck on fixing it all.
