Was wondering if anyone knew of how to adjust valves if it is even possible with my new truck. getting a tick out of the motor some of the time. Not always. It is a 98 305 with 133+K on it.

Also Oil pressure gauge likes to bounch with motor rpm's is that a sign I may need a new oil pump or just a normal thing with oil pressure in v8's? First v8 that I have ever known. Will post up pics for ppl who knew what I had before so they know what I traded for.

Adjust those valves down to zero lash and then put about 1/2 to 3/4 turn on it....it'll be just right.
It's somewhat normal for a higher mileage v8 to have a slightly fluctuating oil pressure, but it could be a sign of worn bearings.....get a good oil additive..I use BG brand (MOA is the name of the product)....it's awesome stuff. By the way..that 305 has years of life left in it. let's see those pics.
