nv3500 shift fork

You must be going crazy man, 'cause I know I am! I've spent hours looking at the pictures and the only thing that looks funny to me is the reverse idler gear. (why is it cocked?)
I wish I could put my hands on it and feel what it is and isn't doing.

I haven't done a standard tranny in a lot of years and the few that I have done, I lined up all the parts and was very careful to make sure that everything stayed in order and facing the right direction.

I really wish I could be of some help.

Thanks for trying and the reason the reverse idler gear is not in all the way I figured before I finish putting it in I would figure out this %^&*ing shift fork.

I'm trying to visualize how this stuff is supposed to go together through your pictures, but I too am a hands on kind of person. I have no doubt I could figure it out if I was there gettin' dirty with ya. Heck, I put the transmission back together on my dad's JD 4020 powershift after someone else took it apart. Now that was a challenge!!

I didnt get pics taken lastnight but in a few weeks I will cuz Im going to my parents for christmas(yahhh no school or work for 1 1/2 weeks) and my roommate took his camera with him today.
