oil pressure
I've got a 95 4WD Blazer. I pull a cargo trailer on weekends. Anyway, the past three weekends, my check engine light has been flashing at me, for a couple of minutes. Last night was the third time, and, dumbass that I am, finally noticed that all three times was when I was pulling the trailer. So, I noticed last night when it came on(right as I was pulling into my driveway, that the oil pressure gauge was pretty low(almost into the red). I just changed the oil, and it's not low.
Your thoughts, please???

I would start by checking the wiring, if this only does it with the trailer attached then it could be a ground issue with the trailer wiring or electrical system????
Check connections at computer to oil pressure to trailer wiring....
GOOD LUCK

You know, I've been having a little trouble with my trailer lights(I have to wiggle the two connectors, to make them come on). Can the wiring to my trailer actually make my check engine light come on?
So what should the oil pressure gauge be reading? Usually, mine's 19-20, at idle, and 38-40, at highway speed. Is that normal? Because it was down to about 10(or less), last night.
But, maybe if it's a fuel problem, improper idle might cause the oil pressure to drop lower???

A flashing CEL (SES) means that something is occuring that, if not repaired, will result in damage.
Oil pressure readings are highly dependant on the vehicle and the conditions it has endured through it's life. GM specifies ~8psi as the lowest the oil pressure should be maintained at for proper engine lubrication.
