Default Oil Pressure ??

What is the normal oil pressure for 99V-6 Chevy Blazer when idling, driving, and stopping?

There is no spec as to what the pressure 'should be', but normally you will see ~35-45psi at idle and ~50-60psi while driving. Old rule of thumb, as long as you have 10psi per 1k RPM, you're safe. I believe GM says the engine is safe down to 8psi at idle.

You posted your question as a reply to "my" thread. Please don't hijack someone else's thread. If you go to the search function you'll find at the bottom of the drop down menu "advanced search". Click on that and it will link to another page that allows you to narrow your search parameters. Thanks swartllk for moving this post into its own thread.

IIRC you should be registering somewhere around 20-25psi @idle,35-40 psi cruising speed, 55-60 psi when accelerating. It is best to hook up a master gauge when trying to determine actual oil pressure. The dash gauge isn't always a sound way for monitoring oil pressure.
