Oil Pressure

Hello,
I have an 89 Jimmy S15, the oil pressure gauge is always at the max what could be the problem ? might the sensor have a problem if there is any or anything else.
appreciate ur help guys

Are all the other gauges working correctly? What happens if you disconnect the wire at the sending unit?
