Default Oil pressure issues on the 4.3's?

'97 s10 zr2. 285K miles, 100K on the engine (or so I was told). I've noticed lately that my oil pressure runs at about 20 at idle, and 40 when under load and on the freeway. I was just wondering if anyone on here has had any experiences with this and if it's anything to be worried about? My Blazer is sitting in my driveway with a locked up engine and I really don't want to have to go through that again...

Nothing to worry about. My 01 has always hot idled at 20-25PSI on the stock gauge (bought it with 60K). Keep in mind the gauge is not very accurate, but i think the spec calls for like 5PSI min. at idle. Make sure your LIM gaskets are good, change the oil once in a while, and these things run forever.

id say normal, once my '00 jimmy is warmed up it idles around 20 then goes up to 40 under load. when its cold, (below 10* outside) it idles at about 60 till it warms up. and i beat the s**t out of mine. break torques, peddal str8 to the floor from stops. 165K miles and counting and still running strong.
