Oil and Trans Temp gauges
So, my early christmas present came in (thank god) but, I have a problem I have no clue where to put the probe's to my 1998 S-10 blazer LS 4.3 v6 for the transmission temp and oil temp. Anyone mind giving me a bit of advice?
Thanks, Dover.
Thanks, Dover.
For the transmission temp, there is a port on the driver side part way up the side of the transmission. This port is typically used for pressure testing.
On the engine, you can either remove the oil pressure sending unit and put in a "T" for the temperature probe, or I believe there is a port just above the remote oil filter adapter on the rear, driver side of the engine block. This may be quite difficult to get at, but if you remove the front driveshaft, you should be able to gain access.

Any pictures of this area? Sorry, I'm just afraid I'm going to mess something up by unbolting the wrong thing as stupid as it sounds. But I still live under my parents roof and the car is still my dads so every little thing that goes wrong is my fault. And speaking I have a brand new motor in my car it doesn't help the situation much.
Just asked for it as another christmas present NOW, to my next question. I bought a air/fuel ratio gauge along with that and from reading and looking it has a 4 wire oxygen sensor but my question is which wire do I tap into for the reader?
