Hey everyone. First time posting. I bought a 79 K5 this past February. I live in a higher altitude then when the vehicle was in Phoenix. I jetted the carburetor and the vehicle has begun to overheat. Since then, I have replaced the water pump, changed the thermostat and it is still overheating. Is there an area I should be looking to next?

I'll take a look into it. My buddy has a vacuum we are gonna look into. I had it jetted at a carb shop, so I'd hope they did it the right way.

I'm going to look into the fan clutch idea. I replaced the radiator cap and it still overheated. Started to smoke where the tube connects to where the thermostat is housed at and then seemed to leak from under the engine block. Thanks for the help!
