I changed the trans filter on my 01 4x4 and now it seems to me stuck in third. Had autozone run the ses light, which came back with a 2-3 shift solenoid. So now I have to take the damn thing apart again.

Figured while I was in there I would try adding some from of drain plug to the pan. Which then got me looking around, has anyone tried one of these transmission rebuild kits? are they hard? worth the time or money? Or is there anything else you can think of that I might as well do while I'm in there.
