Default P1870 Valve with O-rings on it converts from pulse to On / Off style

Has anyone ever used this 1870 valve with O-rings before? I think its fairly new maybe... it is suppose to convert your pulse style lock up to a On / Off style lock up. its not a Sonnax brand nor Transgo brand.... anyone use it before with a stock type tranny and a .490 boost valve? here is what they only write about it:

#1870V. 4L60E Code 1870 Fix. We have found this part to be bad on almost everyone we checked. This part always wears out 99% of the time and should be replaced on every rebuild. 1995 to 2000 Cost $18.00.

and the link to who sells it:

I'm too ingnorant on the subject to make a knowledgeable comment. However, I plan on smartening myself up on the subject when I rebuild mine.
