Question about a pressure control solenoid for 4L60E

yea your 3rd gear clutch pack is shot time to rebuild....because you are saying you have 1,2, no 3rd and I didn't see anything about 4th which is overdrive anyway your 1-2 solenoid is in charge of changing from 1st to 2nd then once you run 2nd out the 2-3 solenoid changes it to 3rd so if you have 1st and 2nd and then it has a neutral condition with motor revving then the solenoid is doin its job its ust the clutch pack is fried so there is nothing to engage

you could adjust the pressure but as swartlk said it probably would cure nothing it would just mask the problem or cause others so...kinda sounds like forward clutch pack may be slipping or fried

Question

Go guys with my problem of not having a first gear shift is clutch packs are about fried or is there any other things I can look into to make this last a while longer.My transmission man said that the piston on the side I can drill a hole and put stiffer spring in it to help.Anyone ever did this?
