Default Question about transmission

Hi,
I drove my 2000 Blazer LT on interstate, drove 75 mph for good 1 hour and transmission itself just stop working. Realize that transmission is not working... So I pulled over on the shoulder.
I tested shift 1-3,D, and Reverse and not working at all... I don't smell any burn that time or any days before or slipping at all. About 3 days before this and I did notice that shift 1 start get harsh to 2nd shift. I assume must be electric or wiring disconnect? Or?
Please help me....
Shawn

I am guessing you have a 4l60e for a transmission. With only hard shifts, no noises or burning fluid odors I am thinking built up debree plugging up the filter. That would cause the transmission to stop after running for a while or a few miles even without the noises and burning fluid odors. When a similar situation happened to me I had it inspected and had it completely rebuilt due the extensive damage from the previous owner not fixing or maintaing it.

Default no shift

If the transmission doesn't engage any gear forward or reverse, the only common denominator is the torque converter. It is possible that the input shaft or the manual link inside broke, but not likly. If it engages any gear forward or reverse but doesn't pull you have a broken sprag inside the converter. Is it a 2WD or 4x4? Push button 4x4? my son's Transfer case blew up and left him stranded. There is a 1/8" pipe plug for checking line pressure on the trans just above and to the front of the shift linkage. install a 100 PSI gauge and see if it has pressure. no pressure no move. Or you can pull the pan and see if the magnet inside looks like a chia pet from metal, if so yard it out and get it fixed or find a take out unit.
