Probably yeah, May have to bring the torque converter over. check your bolt patterns. If its a 4L60E it absolutely can work. depending on the input shaft type, for the most part they are electrically compatible all the way through.

 

thanks for the info. ive been searching for a good used one but have had no luck really. how can i know what im buying? dont really want to throw money away. drop the pan and look for metal on the magnet ??

 

inspect fluid condition, externally accessable seals such as the extension housing or transfercase adapter seals, driveshaft yoke seal (is inside a cup on the output shaft on 2WD models), Input shaft torque converter clutch fluid circuit seal (the only o-ring on the forward end of the input shaft), Fluid should be a cherry translucent red and smell like oil, not burnt ***. Look for grit (clutch material) and metal shavings/flakes/sparkles in the pan and fluid, as well as the magnet. and if possible get the mileage of the vehicle it came out of.
