We are at it, again. Have replaced the MAF. New fuel filter. Spider and injectors have tested fine (are not leaking). New symptom = when we disengage the battery for a bit - all codes clear (of course) and Blazer runs like a top for 50 miles....then - BHAM! Misfire and excessive fuel consumption. There is no fuel leak as from a line....but there is a raw fuel smell (fuel is just dumping down the cylinders after 50 miles of all clear). Does anyone have ANY ideas out there that may be causing this??? We are stumped and at a loss. 1998 v6, vortec 4.3. Thanks!

 

So, by inference, you can reset it and drive another 50 miles by simply disconnecting battery and clearing those codes...

 

Codes are...PO102, PO154, PO174, PO300, PO440, P1153. (sorry didn't post those - did it in an earlier thread and must have thought I did here...) Would the O2 sensors cause excessive fuel dumping???? It just seems so strange that the Blaze drives great for 50 miles after all codes have been cleared, and then causes trouble, again.
