Glad to hear you got it fixed!! and glad to help. Did you ever find the leak around the water pump? or was that from something spraying over in that area when it overheated and seemed to be dripping from there?

i havent been to locate the actual leak yet, but as of putting in the new tstat i have yet to have any leaks. I think the water pump may have just been purging the boiling coolant out of the weep hole when the old tsat was closed.
