Default Raw fuel on all spark plugs

2004 Blazer LS. Just changed the plugs, and the designer of the engine compartment ought to be shot.. Every one already knows this though. Every plug that I removed had raw fuel on it. Trying to figure out why though. Found a post when I googled it that suggested bad plugs or wires, but the all but one of the plugs were the right color. Just wanted to throw this up in the air and see if anyone has had this problem or if it's something reserved for lucky me.. Was thinking about the fuel pressure regulator, but if I remember correctly they weren't cheap, so don't want to replace that if it's not the problem. Any ideas are welcome...

Default Regulator is not that expensive

It is the spider that is expensive. I'm not sure as to the conditions before you pulled the plugs. Sure the #3 plug is a pain if you don't have the right tool. I suggest you buy the socket with the universal built in and use a wobble extension through the wheel well.

have a fuel pressure and leakdown test done on it to see if it is a fuel system problem or not

Thanks for the replies. I did have the right tools for the spark plugs and actually the steering shaft is in a slightly different place on the 2004 than it was on my 1999 so I couldn't use the extension with the universal socket attached. I had to put a socket with the bolt head on it and a boxed end wrench to break #3 loose and then twist it out by hand. Still more work than it should be to change plugs, at least I won't have to do it again for a long time. I didn't think about the pressure test on the fuel system though I'm going to AutoZone to do that now. Hope it's not the injectors, there is only 72 grand on this thing..
