rebuilt or remanufactured?
so after 233,000 miles my 95 blazer has devoloped a KNOCK. theres no way im getting rid of my blazer so im wondering if i get the motor totally rebuilt is that just as good as a remanufactured motor from say jasper or some other company? i know the obvious is the better warranty from a remanufactured but other than that im not sure what the difference would be other than a few hundred dollars. its going in the shop this week ive already planned on spending around 2500 so can any one tell me the pros or cons of getting rebuilt rather than reman. ?

if you can afford it, a local machine shop rebuild is the best way to go... where you source the parts yourself, get good stuff, and make sure everything lines up and torques correctly. This is also the most expensive way of going
