Replacing engine flywheel/flexplate
8 hrs.
It will take 4 hours to remove the tranny and 4 hours to reinstall it. You can do it yourself if you have some mechanical experience. Searcht eh Do-It-yourself section for my thread on tranny removal. In this case there are a few things you can not do, however the tranny basically has to come out of the truck, or rahter slide back 4" or so you can get tools on the flexplate (automatic) and remove it. I use longer bolts to replace the tranny bolts and slide it back on the longer bolts. Howver you still have to remove the driveshafts, t-case, exhaust cross over pipe, torque converter, and unbolt the tranny from teh engine. Plus the wires and hoses attached.
