So lately my blazer has been pesky about shifting into reverse. It is a manual and when I try putting it in reverse its like it only goes half way. The reverse lights come on but it does not go far enough to actually be in reverse. I pretty much have to keep trying over and over until it actually shifts in reverse. Anyone know what this is?

 

I am not positive but it could be a problem with the forks in the transmission possibly preventing it from going fully into gear. I have heard of this happening before in the past but do not have first hand knowledge.

 

​​​​ I believe they use a solenoid it could be going bad or an intermittent signal between it and your shifter
