Question revs high in 1st...slips in 2nd??

I have a 01 Jimmy sle with 95k .Everything ran great up untill last night. Heres what happened. I was driving down the highway and i stoped to pay the toll. When I took off the truck reved high in first gearand sliped through second. Third and od are fine.the check engine light never came on,no funny smells nothing. Only thing i can thnk of is that my wife hit the tow button while we were coming down the highway. Anybody have any idea what it could be? Any help would be apreciated.

Sounds like you need to get someone to diagnose the transmission. The slipping through 2nd does not sound good.

How is your fluid level/condition?

Level is good but the fluid is a little nasty.Oh and its not sliping completly through 2nd. It kicks in at about 3,000 rpm maybee a little under. Thanks for the help
