Default Rough idle and dies until warmed up

Ok guys here's my problem, I have a s10 blazer with a 4.3. and has 80000 miles on it. I have done a complete tune up including new plug wires, cap rotor, plugs and have removed and checked and cleaned all the related sensors. My problem happens only when you first start and drive the vehicle, the idle surges and now has started dying until it gets warmed up "about 5 mins.". Also the temp gauge does not work....I tried to fix this with new sending unit and connector since it was melted when I bought the vehicle, still doesn't work. Has anyone else had this problem ? I'm stumped, aside from buying hundreds of dollars worth of new sensors I don't what to do next. The engine runs like a new one once it warms up that's what drives me crazy.

I'd start with cleaning the MAF and IAC...clean the throttle body as well while you're in there. check your air filter...(not that that is likely the culprit but it doesn't hurt to check)
