Lately when I accelerate hard( like merging on a highway) my tach immediatley jumps all the way to 6000, kinda biunces around, then drops back off. There is also a clicking straight back from the stereo, like where the distributor sits, as this is happening. Shifts smoothly during normal acc, but as soon as I punch it, it starts. I took some video I'll post once I figure out how but any thoughts in the meantime? 2004 blazer 4.3l 110k.

 

Is it a loud clicking?

 

No, just enough to notice really.
