Sea Foam
I got a definite oomph back into the blazer after I seafoamed. Although at the same time I also cleaned the EGR valve and cleaned out the throttle body by hand. All three are easy enough to do at the same time and got me ~2 mpg back!
I strongly reccommend it! I did it on a whim...I was at autozone one day, saw it on special for 6.99....and figured might as well!
Only takes 20 min if you really wanna let it soak...also it was much easier having my little bro help me out...he stayed on the gas pedal to control idle so I didn't have to hold the butterfly valve open with my hand (it was hot!). Then while the seafoam soaks, you can clean the EGR with some carb cleaner, and if you really want clean the throttle body as well!!!!

make sure you dont put alot in the throttle body when you soak, mine hydrolocked doing that. Luckily the blazer gods shined apon me and it started. But when i did the proper 1/3 oil 1/3 TB 1/3 gas it worked like a charm.
I did 2/3 through the throttle body, keeping it running, then finished the can to make it stall...just took a few seconds of cranking to fire up. I thought hydrolocking was just when you got water in the cylinders and since water can't compress, it cracks something/locks up the engine?
its a known thing when i researched it. It had the same symptoms of hydrolock, cranked a little bit then felt like it threw itself. after that it wouldnt start, so did a little prayin and waited 20 mins. Came right up.
Its a good way to scare the **** out of you.
Good thing was it was sqeeky clean afterwards.

In the 30+ vehicles I have ran a full bottle of seafoam down the intake of, I have never once had any of them 'hydrolock'. It just doesn't seem possible unless you are pouring the entire bottle down the throttle body all at once, especially considering the rather large combustion chamber in these motors.

.....but thankfully it worked out ok!
