I replaced my serpentine belt with the cheap 16.50 auto zone belt I think it's called value craft. Didn't have a problem with any noise coming from the engine until recently it began to squeak a little. It has been raining around here lately but I was noticing this before the rain. I noticed around some of these posting and everyone recommends using the Goodyear Gatorback Belt Part # 4060952 when you replace it. If I was to purchase this belt and throw it on would it possibly solve my problem or not and probably a more serious issue?

My Fault it's a 1999 GMC Jimmy 4x4

 

I've had my Gatorback belt on for over 2 years now. Solved my squeak problem.

 

My belt sqeeks all the time. I dont typically hear it over the stereo.
