Small amount of acetone in oil ....
Would it hurt anything??? I`m just being curious about this i didnt try it.... I was just thinking if it somewhat can help break up deposits in fuel systemswould it maybe dissolve oil sludge in an engine... Thanks for any thoughts ya may have on this one...

Well, you would be doing about the same thing as letting fuel dilute the oil - which is not something most folks would want. On the other hand, if you drained the oil after you had maybe 1,000 miles on it, it might not be an issue. If you're looking to clean the engine, I would recommend Auto-Rx instead. For the fuel lines try Techron Concentrate Plus in the gas tank.

I definetly wouldnt use concentrated acetone in the oil. Acetone has a flash point of -4F so oil temps will put it half way up to auto-ignition temp and far above flash point.

I've heard about putting 4 oz per 18 gallons in the fuel, but never the oil. I say bad idea...

Well...the flashpoint in the oil could be misleading. It will mix, so it's not like you're running straight acetone through the crankcase. Flashpoint of motor oil is around 400* F. So probably the acetone will just evaporate out of the oil with engine temps and do absolutely nothing to harm/help in small concentrations. Now if you were to try acetone alone in the crankcase...well I bet you'll get a fairly large sized 'boom' from your engine bay as the bottom of your engine leaves the vehicle.
