Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I figured it belongs here.

I've searched the forums and I can't seem to find a thread with a similar problem I'm currently having.

I have 99 GMC Jimmy 4.3L 2WD SLE trim.

The problem I'm having is that sometimes the SUV would try to start and then just quit. I engine turns, so it's not the starter. The spark plugs go, so I know it cannot be that, pluse I don't get any misfire codes. Sometimes this happens to me when its a cold start (so far this happens more often) or when I start the SUV up shortly after I turned it off, when it's been off no more than 3 minutes or so.

I pump the gas pedal and that seems to help it, but I'm not 100% sure that actually as it usually starts the second or third time I turn the keys with or without pressing the gas pedal.

Could I be experiencing the early signs of a failing pump? Clogged/faulty injectors?

I'm going to start taking things apart this weekend when I have more time. The problem is very random, but has happened more often than before recently.

Sounds to me like you should diagnose the fuel delivery system. THIS DIY article would be a good place to start.
