Start up problems,please help.
I have two blazers a 95 and a 01 trail blazer with the 4.3 motor. The 95 is addicted to starter fluid...it wont start without it, i've changed out the injectors, fuel filter and the fuel pump is working fine. i had the fuel pressure checked and was told it was good but i still have the same problem. I also have a 01 with the 4.3 motor and it has started to do the same thing,it's hard to start. I've changed the air filter, fuel filter and it hasn't helped...in fact it's getting worst. i really need help and don't want to buy parts i don't need.
I just read a tread from 3-16 and it's the same as mine....look's like i need a fuel pump. But I'm still not sure.

Please post the fuel pressure reading & leak down rate. If the pressure doesn't exceed 55psi and remain above 50psi for 10 minutes after the pump shuts off, you have a problem.
On the '01, you may want to try some fuel injection cleaner. Chevron Techron Fuel System Treatment Plus can often clean up sticky, gummed up poppet nozzles. Since you replace the spider in the 95, this likely isn't going to help there.

The main issues are hard starts after not driving for while and losses in power/hesitation as well if it hasn't been driven in a while. Should I start at the fuel pressure regulator or check valve on the fuel pump?
