Default starting problem

So I replaced the fuel pump in my 1998 2 door blazer and it wont start still. I replaced the fuel pump because it wasn't holding enough pressure in the fuel lines. before I replaced it you could get it to start by bumping the key for a while ( roughly 5-10 min). now that i've replaced the pump the thing wont start at all. any suggestions, is there a relay somewhere besides under the hood?
Another thing, I also have a 2000 blazer 4 door that the tranny has blown up on. can I pull the tranny from the 98 2 door and just swap them out? some places say yeah others say no?
