I also have a 93 S10 Blazer with the vortec 4.3L engine and had problems with failure to cold start. The only way I could start the Blazer was by using engine start spray. After having the Blazer in a shop, replacing the distributer cap and modulator, I took the Blazer to the Chevy dealer and discovered the fuel pump had an internal leak. It was hard to find the problem as after the vehicle would be started up the fuel pressure read as it should. A clogged catalyc coverter will also cause start up problems as well as decreased power while driving.
