Stuck on installing pendulum
Hi, I have a 97 with the 4.3 that had a bad regulator. When replacing it, I also noticed the lines for the injectors were brittle and cracked. Got replacement injectors and installed them. Now as I try to install the pendulum, it seems as the fuel housing is not seating correctly to the pedulum. I have about a 1/16 gap between the pendulum and intake manifold. I installed new upper gaskets. Is there a trick to getting the pedulum to sit correctly? Thanks

I've noticed the O-ring seal on the injector assembly can be a bear to get to pop back into the plastic upper intake. You can dip your finger in a little motor oil, petroleum grease, anything like that, and rub it around the O-ring on the top of the injector or on the plastic upper intake where the O-ring seats and make it easier to pop into place. Will keep you from accidentally ripping the O-ring in the process too.

It doesn't look like there is any way for it to snap in, just press in..?? I've put oil on both the oring and inside of the plastic pendulum. I have also tried using a 6 in -1/2 drivenextension and hammer it. It looks to be about a 1/16-1/8 inch hap left to seat it. Will try heating everything as it's now getting cold.
Thanks for the input. After exausting everything I can think of,. I finially took the pendulum and spider assembly off. Left the fuel block bracket bolted to the intake manifold. Then tapped the fuel block in the pendulum from the bottom. After that, just had to reach my hands in and help route the fuel lines around the bracket. Took a little bit but it now it is about 650 with zero hesitation and is running like a dream.
