Default Surges while driving

94 Blazer, rough idle, you can feel it surge while driving at highway speeds, no power and has to down shift on hills, smell of fuel in the engine compartment at times.
Blazer sat for a few years and only has 109k miles on it, cap, rotor, plugs, wires and Spyder injector were replaced just prior to me buying it 3 months ago. Also when you stop hard while driving it will stall, it will restart after about 15 seconds.
I have only drove it 500 miles since I bought it because I don't trust it.
Has not thrown a check engine light or have any stored codes.

were all parts ac delco/delphi? these vehicles will run terrible if you dont have oem parts that were listed above? have you done a fuel pressure test? your fuel pump may not be pushing out or your fuel filter could be slightly clogged. theres a sticky here showing you how to do the fuel pressure test properly
