TC wont lock
#1
Hey guyz,
Been a while but i am back bc my truck is having problems keeping the TC locked on the highway while cursing. Like it will lock up when accelerating or pulling up a grade then once on flat or coming down a hill, even just letting off the gas, the TC dis locks and the rpms jump anywhere from 200-500rpms. Any thoughts?
Thanks for any help

the usual culprits.
Drive with one foot, dont ride the brake peddle. tapping the brake disengages the TC.
Coasting disengages the TC.
Engine performance problems and the puter will disengage the TC.
Rarely is the TC at fault, generally is an engine problem.

its weird because it never used to do that. i do drive with one foot, i tend to set the cruise control at 70 and let the truck do its thing. she never disengaged the tc until about 2 weeks ago. but hey, i'm not to worried because i am getting a fully loaded 4dr tahoe this weekend.
