TCC lockup?

Default TCC lockup?

I've seen many places where TCC is a problem for staying locked or not locking. I can find no symptoms for this problem. How would the transmission act if this were an issue? I have a 96 blazer 4wd 4l60e.

Most common symptom is when you get to about 50 mph, which is the point where you are in overdrive and the TCC would normally lock, you get about a 200 RPM fluctuation. You're still in overdrive, but the TCC can't decide whether it needs to lock or unlock, so it goes back and forth. You may be able to overcome this RPM fluctuation at a certain speed. For me, when it first started happening, it fluctuated more in the 60-70 mph range. If I set the cruise for, say, 72 mph, the TCC would stay locked. But eventually, it wouldn't stay locked no matter what the speed.

While the RPMs are fluctuating, you can put just a little pressure on the brake pedal and it will stop (RPMs will stay in the higher range of fluctuation). The transmission is programmed to unlock the TCC when the brakes are applied.

I've noticed lately my truck will intermittently engine brake in OD instead of coast. I'll try light brakes an look for the difference. Thanks.

Hey, I working in my s-10 blazer 86, it has 700r4 transmition, and there is a socket for lock up the convert (as a read before), but now i had tooked the completed electrical wire (all panel etc..) because I'm building a prerunner car, so i need to wire up again for just the basic needs,

how or do I need to connect again that connector to the transmition???
