Default Tip on Replacing the Front Tranny Oil Seal

So I had to replace the front oil seal on my '91 Blazer. After the long time it took to get it out, getting a new one in didn't look promising, but I found a method that helped A LOT!

All I did was put the seal in the freezer over night. I also froze a bowl of water to keep it cool as I tried to install it. The cooler temperature seemed to shrink it enough that it went in in just a couple of minutes. That is not to say it just slipped right in, but it was just a couple of tries and WAMO! I'll bet it also resulted in less damage to the seal than pounding on it with a pipe or something.

Hope it works for everybody else!
