Torque Converter

Yeah, sounds more like the transmission. Could be a clogged valve body, bad bands/clutch packs, etc. The only way to find out is open it up!

Yea...Looks like that's what I am gonna have to have done...Cheapest I am finding to get it rebuilt around here is around $900.00...But I appreciate all your help and input! Thanks!!

Default It seems like the trans to me.

Heres my senario with Jimmy when I 1st got it.It would go into 1st and wouldnt shift any further.I tryed manual shifting and it still didnt work.I had reverse and 1st and nuetral ,park.When I tore into the trans the 1st gear clutch pack was ok and the reverse clutch and gear bands were fine.All the rest was burnt like black toast.Simplified I had almost total failure of the forward gears in my tranns.So I had it rebuilt with stage 2 shift kit along with B&M torque converter.Total of $750 invested but hopefully it will be worth it.
