Default Tps Problem?

I have researched Tps in correalation to tranny downshift, seems mine may be bad. But here is my problem, I can drive my blazer uphill start out at 55-60 mph by the time i get to the top skinny pedal all the way to the floor, I lose about 7-9 mph. Same hill, cruise set about 55-60, tranny downshifts and on uphill I go, losing about 2 mph. My question is, I guess does the PCM get throttle position from the cruise control module when cruise is set. Idk but something to throw out there.

there may be a dead spot in the tps. Have it tested with a volt meter or a scan tool with live data
