I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer either this thing is way under powered, or TC is kicking in, I figured it would be TC, I drive my moms 08 trailblazer all the time and when you punch it you will hear cherp and then nothing. you see the TC lights come on.

The traction control was optional but as far as I know the fuse for it is the same for the 4wd so if u take the fuse off the tc and the 4wd will not work. Mine does not have tc but when my 4wd failed it was the fuse marked as ATC (Automatic Traction Control) on the fuse box in the engine compartment.

FYI - ATC == Automatic Transfercase Control, not Automatic Traction Control
I have yet to read about or see a single s-series truck with traction control and I have been working on and researching these vehicles for quite some time now.

I have seen them but mostly rwd and on ZQ8 package or Extreme but i have seen a few sonomas and S10 and blazers with tc. And I said ATC as Automatic Traction Control because that's what the mechanic told me it meant but what u say makes more sense since what I lost was the 4wd when the it blew the fuse.
