Question Trannsmission issue

After digging around for a bit I havent found what Im looking for and being at work dont have the time to look farther. My issue is that I have a slight hesitation to shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third. Almost like its lurching forward but only when I keep the gas on it, if I let off the gas it shift fine. The CEL is not on but hooked up my scanner anyways and have nothing in my history except for P0410, which I know is for the air pump but havent gotten around to replace it or check it out. I have no issue going into reverse or anything. I did see that one member replaced his trans fuse and some others the TCM. My 4x4 works fine to the best of my knowledge, though I dont use it on a regular basis. I do believe my fuel pump is going due to it sometimes hesitates to start unless I let it sit with the key turned on till I hear the fuel pump stop whinning, this wouldnt cause the tranny to slip like it does though am I right. Im thinking of all possible reasons and that come to mind if the motor isnt getting the fuel it needs maybe its causing me to think its the tranny, or am I grouping alot of issues into one, any wisdom is appreciated. oh, I have a 2001 4dr blazer with approx. 96000 miles Any other info required just let me know.

tranny fluid is good(not burnt, brown) and the level is where it needs to be

Question

tranny fluid is good(not burnt, brown) and the level is where it needs to be.....Are you saying the fluid is brown?

The fact that you say the tranny wont shift till you lift...Makes me wonder what RPM do you let it tach up to before you tell yourself its not shifting proper? let me know

i meant to put "or" between burnt and brown. the fluid itself looks good its red and translucent. Normally it shifts around 2000 rpms(if I recall) but sometimes if it goes higher than that then i notice it will lag so i release the gas and can feel it shift, though its not rough or loud. It seems worse going up steep hills but i could be paranoid

Sounds like your ok, Thats how the tranny is, You could have the shift points changed in a pcm tune. While going up hill it stays in a higher rpm in a lower gear to give you tourque up the hill. Dont lift 1 time it will shift somewhere around 3-5k with a load goin up hill

hope im okay, i already dumped enough money into it, just seems unusal since it didnt always drive like it is now, especially with the occasional lunging that im experiencing. I still plan on dropping the pan in the coming weeks for a fluid change and will take a peek to see if theres anything out of place, just curious on others inputs to see if I have a issue that would need to be addressed quickly before any further damage would occur. thanks for your input
