Yup you guessed it. 4l60e strikes again. i think this problem is a little different than the rest of them though. I have every single gear except reverse. Every foreward gearworks perfectly in 2 and 4 wheel drive. i put it in reverse and nothing. Do you guys have any clue what could be going on here. I have searched and i cant find anything that says something about losing just reverse.

You probably broke the sunshell very common and results in loss of reverse, also you likely don't have all your forward gears either.
There has been 2 upgrades made for the sunshell the latest is called the beast and is about $50 and will not break.

Doesn't that $50 part still run upwards of $1000 since you still need a tranny rebuild?

I did have only 1, 2, and d in this blazer. I ran the codes on it and it said shift solenoid b was bad. I dropped the pan and replaced the solenoid. now i have all foreward gears. the only gear that i do not have is reverse. why would reverse go out and all foreward gears work? there is no code, there is not any other problem with this blazer anywhere except for the reverse not working. everything and i mean everything works perfectly. There are no noise now odd shimmies no shakes no nothing this blazer just doesnt have reverse.

I had asked, but then figured since you stated it was a 4L60E it really didn't matter. Check out the items listed in the table I posted above and let us know.
