I got a 74 blazer 4x4 with the turbo 350 tranny. first of all i can start it in any gear. it doesnt even attempt to move. its like its always in park, however, when you shift from park or nuetral to one of the forward gears or reverse, you can clearly hear the engine change note. i cant figure it out. what the heck am i missing???

i bought the blazer and drove it up on the trailor. I brought it home and it sat for about a year. I just changed all the fluids and filters. It is full time four wheel drive. with the rear drive shaft out and the front driveshaft still in, i can roll it in neutral, with the rear drive shaft in, it wont roll.
