Default Tranny fluid

I know that GM likes the DEX stuff. Ive read that if you have the choice, not to use it. Is there any full synthetic stuff that is great? What is the general recommendation for fluid replacement?

I think you're mixing Dexcool with Dexron...

By the way, what's your vehicle info?
