Default Tranny swap

Hello I have a 1997 4wd blazer the tranny went out now it only has 3rd and reverse if The tranny fuse is pulled. I have a 1997 gmc 1500 4wd with a good tranny and a bad frame. Is it possible I can swap the tranny from the gmc truck into my 97 blazer? Any help would be great thanks!

If they're both 4L60E, then it should work. Might have to change t cases maybe? Think the full size is different. Could be wrong, I'm talking outta my rear end lol

Same transmission no difference in them other than the stall on torque converter which won’t be noticed. Plug and play. I assume the 1500 has a V8? Be sure to flush the cooler lines and cooler before installing replacement transmission. Good luck
