Default Trans options for the 4l60e

First time posting, so be patient. I have a 2000 blazer 4x4, with the 4.3l v6 vortex. it has a blown 4l60e.... which by checking out your site is a crappy trans, so is there any other trans option that will line up in this truck like a 4l80e, and if not does anyone know what year span option i have when buying a new/used replacement trans...Thanks everyone

There are no other transmissions that would simply bolt it. You could put a 4l80e in, but you would need to adapt to your transfer case, or install a different transfer case. And the ECU would also need to be programmed.

The 4L60E transmission is a good transmission, used in thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of vehicles. The main reason if not only reason they fail is due to lack of maintenance.

Some have a plastic foward apply piston and accumulator piston that can crack. And a EVA screen that can collapse. You can step up your game by installing a transgo kit and a slightly stronger 1-2 accum piston spring.
